ABS-CBN actress Nikki Valdez is now engaged to her longtime non-showbiz boyfriend, Luis Garcia.
Luis popped the question to Nikki on Christmas eve, December 24, while on a short vacation in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
Based on their Instagram photos, Luis sought the help of their family members and chose the historic Calle Crisologo as the spot where he asked Nikki to get married.
The couple posted photos from their engagement a few hours later, on December 25.
Nikki thanked her fiancé for making this her most memorable Christmas ever.
The 38-year-old actress wrote, "Truly a blessed night that happened on the most wonderful time of the year with the most special people in our lives!!!

For his part, Luis also uploaded a photo of their engagement and wrote, "Yes daw!!! I love you @nikkivaldez_ FOREVER!!! #WeveOnlyJustVIGAN"
On a separate Instagram post, he thanked both their families for taking part on the next chapter of their lives.
Luis uploaded a series of photos with the caption, "Thank you to our families, for planning with me. Success!!! #YESdaw #WeveOnlyJustVIGAN #BestChristmasEver #ProjectMisisButtercream"
Nikki and Luis recently celebrated their their anniversary as a couple in Boracay.
On December 2, Luis posted their couple pic and wrote, "Happy 3rd my love! Thank you for being my hope. Thank you for always being there to cheer and believe. Thank you for being in my life, and sharing me yours. I love you! @nikkivaldez_ #happy3"
This is the second time that Nikki will get married.
Her first husband was Filipino-Canadian Christopher Lina, whom she married in a civil ceremony in Canada in February 2007 after dating for five years.
Five months later, they had a church wedding in Manila, but they eventually settled in Canada.
Their marriage only lasted for two years after they decided to separate in 2009.
They got their divorce papers in 2011.
