Maine Mendoza gave a short but sweet message to onscreen partner Alden Richards, who celebrated his 26th birthday on Tuesday, January 2.
During the “All for Juan, Juan for All” segment of Eat Bulaga! on the same day, Maine wished Alden a happy birthday.
"Nasa 'yo naman na lahat, yung mga gusto mo namang mabili, nakukuha mo [na].
“Pero kung ano pa yung hinihiling mo pa sa buhay tsaka yung inaasam ng puso mo, sana ibigay sa 'yo ni Lord, happy birthday," said Maine.
The two were in different locations. Maine was in a barangay in Tondo, Manila, for the “Sugod Bahay” segment, while Alden was in the studio.
The split-screen greeting was reminiscent of the "Kalyeserye" days which gave birth to their phenomenal love team, AlDub.
Later that night, Maine joined Alden's birthday celebration at his restaurant, Concha's Garden Cafe, in Quezon City.
Maine returned to Eat Bulaga! on New Year's day, January 1, after taking a month-long vacation in the U.S.
Her break from showbiz came after an open letter to her fans, where the TV host-actress admitted that she and Alden are just friends and loveteam partners.
