John Lloyd Cruz may still be on “indefinite leave” from his work engagements, but he’s certainly enjoying his quality time with girlfriend Ellen Adarna.
In their own Instagram stories last night, January 16, the couple showed a glimpse of their cozy date night at home.

Ellen posted videos of John Lloyd grilling vegetables, fish, and bacon at a lanai which has a tent decorated by Christmas lights.
She wrote, "Dinner date set up at home by my [love] because i dont want to go out"
While they did not indicate if they are at John Lloyd's or Ellen’s apartment, the 34-year-old actor took note of how one of his “baby” plants on the lanai is now in full bloom.
Showing a video of his exotic plant, John Lloyd wrote, “my baby’s growing [monkey emoji]”
Then he posted a separate video of his and Ellen’s “dinner date,” together with some of their household staff.
Ellen was comfortably seated with her legs crossed and a throw pillow on her lap while talking to her “yayey.”
In another video posted by Ellen, the couple seemed to be enjoying listening to the "words of wisdom" from the yaya of the 29-year-old sexy star.
Ellen's yaya was saying, "Ang asawa, puwedeng palitan. Pero ang anak, hindi mo talaga ipagpapalit kahit kaninong lalaki, kasi anak mo 'yan, e. Lalo na yung nanay mo."
The sexy star interjected, "Ang asawa?"
Her yaya reiterated, "Ang asawa puwedeng palitan. Pero ang nanay at anak, hindi mo ipagpapalit kahit kanino."
Last November 2017, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) reported that Ellen was pregnant with John Lloyd's child.
Since then, there have been reports of John Lloyd proposing to Ellen with a three-million-peso diamond ring.
This was followed by veteran columnist/talent manager Lolit Solis's Instagram post saying that the couple have started making wedding preparations.
Both John Lloyd and Ellen took offense with Lolit and showed their displeasure by raking up a past scandal involving the talent manager.
It is not certain if the couple were angered because, in fact, there are no wedding preparations and they feel that the report puts undue pressure on them to get married.
Or because, indeed, there are wedding preparations but they feel that no one has any business announcing any of it except the two of them.
