Coleen Garcia opens up about the reason her fiancé, Billy Crawford, left his former manager and signed up with Viva Artists' Agency.

Coleen Garcia opens up about one of the main reasons her fiancé, Billy Crawford, signed up with a new talent arm and left his former manager after 10 years.

The Kapamilya actress divulged that her soon-to-be-husband wants to focus on being a singer and a performer, which he became known for, particularly in the US and Europe, in the early until mid-2000.

“I think he misses the performer in him.

"Kasi ngayon, he's very focused when it comes to hosting," explains Coleen to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the press conference of Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin, which is down to its last two weeks.

The presscon was held Thursday, January 18, at the 9501 Restaurant at ELJCC Building, Mother Ignacia, Quezon City.

Last Tuesday, January 16, Billy inked a five-year contract with Viva Artists' Agency and Viva Entertainment, Inc.

Viva’s roster of talents includes Regine Velasquez, James Reid, Nadine Lustre, and Sarah Geronimo, to name a few.

Projects for them are not just limited to acting or hosting, but also include projects that showcase their talents in music and as performers.

Safe to say, Billy hopes to be given the same kind of opportunities that will tap his talents as a performer.

PROUD OF BILLY. Coleen beams with pride as Billy still has the zest for improvement despite having been in showbiz for three decades.

“So you know, at least at his age and 30 years in the business, he's still growing, and I'm just so proud of him that he's still growing until now.

“Masaya naman ako he's making good decisions in his life.”

The actress also explains that before Billy decided to change management, he sought Coleen's opinion first.

“He doesn't make a decision without consulting me first, and the same goes for me.

"Not because we hold each other back, but because we decide what's best for the other person based on how we feel,” she expounds.

“With him, everything went through me naman also.

“So he asked for my opinion first, he asked for advice, and I think that this is really a good, big step for him.”
