May nagugustuhan na ba siyang Kapuso actress?
Tugon niya, “Walang ligaw, pero crush, there are so many! Ang daming magandang artista sa GMA."

“Sanya Lopez! Who else? So many pretty girls!” at tumawa si Matthias.
“Let me try to think... but a lot of them are taken!

Marami pa raw siyang crush pero wala siyang nililigawan sa ngayon.
Nang pasyalan ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang set ng Super Ma’am ilang linggo na ang nakararaan, nadatnan namin si Matthias na nakikipagkuwentuhan sa mga batang fans na nanonood ng taping sa Ninoy Aquino Parks And Wildlife Center.
Mahilig pala siya sa bata.
Saad niya, “Well, everybody’s been a kid, right?
"And I believe that I’ve been fortunate enough to have a good, positive childhood.
“And I know that, you know, not everybody has the exact same experience, and it’s probably a big thing for them to see me.
“I mean, I don’t really think much of it ‘cause I’m just doing my job, you know, I wanna do a good job.”

Limang buwan na sa ere ang show nila, kumusta naman ang working relationship ni Matthias at ni Marian
Sabi ng Fil-Am model-actor, “It’s great!”
Marami raw siyang natutunan kay Marian.
“It’s always learning every time, and I think she sets a good example for all of us in the cast.
“We all look up to Ate Yan, she knows how it works, she shows us how to do it the right way.
“So, every time that she’s acting, I’m not so bothered… I watch her.
“Because she knows how to act and she knows how showbiz is done.
“When it comes to acting, I’m always ready to hear whatever suggestion… if she says, ‘Oh that’s good!’ Then it’s really good.”
Mahirap bang magkaroon ng napakagandang leading lady pero married na, lalo’t si Dingdong Dantes ang asawa nito?
“Ha! I’m sure!” at tumawa si Matthias.
“I’m gonna assume yes, because if this person is single, wow, let’s, tara let’s!
“I’m single, right? So then it’s easier to get to a level with no… there’s no having to back off, no restrictions.”
May sweet moments sina Matthias at Marian sa Super Ma’am.
Komento ng Kapuso hunk, “It’s acting, I’m still acting, but maybe if there was a different person, who wasn’t married.
“Maybe it’s a different experience talaga, I’m assuming.”
Hindi pa raw nakikilala ni Matthias nang personal si Dingdong.
Wala raw siya nang minsang dumalaw ang asawa ni Marian sa set ng Super Ma’am.
LEARNING TAGALOG. Ang New Year’s resolution daw ni Matthias ay mas matuto pang magsalita ng Tagalog.
Nag-aaral naman daw siya ng Tagalog, kaya lang, “it got better and then it got worse,” at tumawa ang binata.
Bumisita raw kasi ang mga magulang niya sa Pilipinas nitong December at puro English ang usapan nila.
Galing din daw sa mga magulang niya ang best Christmas gift na natanggap niya.
“It’s a bluetooth speaker, but my favorite Christmas gift was my own, I bought my lens for a camera.”
Mahilig daw siyang magbiyahe kaya useful sa kanya ang camera.
At sa halip na magbakasyon sa New York City, kung saan siya dati naka-base, mas nais ni Matthias na mamasyal sa Asia.
“Maybe Vietnam,” sambit niya, “I really love to travel!”
Nakapunta na raw siya sa Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, at China.
