Glee star Mark Salling was found dead in a wooded area in the northeastern part of San Fernando Valley, California, Tuesday morning, January 30 (U.S. time).
The American actor is best known for his role as Noah "Puck" Puckerman from Season One to Four of the hit musical series, Glee.
According to eonline.com’s report, Mark was pronounced dead on the scene in an “apparent suicide by hanging.”
Citing a police report, the actor's autopsy result is yet to be released.
Mark’s legal counsel Michael J. Proctor confirmed the death of the 35-year-old actor.
Atty. Proctor's official statement read, “I can confirm that Mark Salling passed away early this morning.
“Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment.
“He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother.
“The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected."
Mark was charged with possession of child pornography in May 2016.
In December 2017, Mark pleaded guilty to two counts of child pornography and was set to start his sentence of imprisonment March this year.
The report also cited Mark’s plea agreement, stating that the actor would admit to being a “sex offender” and pay damages to each victim who requested for it.
