Ruffa Gutierrez took to Instagram to say she is currently on great terms with her mom Annabelle Rama.
Ruffa, 43, noted that Annabelle, 65, was in such a good mood that the feisty talent manager even commended the former beauty queen for being a "good girl."
It can be recalled that Annabelle and Ruffa had ruffled each other's feathers in the past.
All seems well now for the mother and daughter.
Posted last night, February 7, Ruffa’s caption read: “Im super happy cuz Mom @annabelleramaig loves me! I’m a good girl daw. #dadsbdaycelebration”
Both were smiling in the photo taken at Ruffa's home in Dasmariñas Village, Makati City, where they celebrated the birthday of her dad Eddie Gutierrez.
It was a simple but happy moment for Ruffa who once acknowledged her "love-hate relationship" with Annabelle.
Even Ruffa's friends Vina Morales and Karla Estrada commented about the actress-TV host getting her mom's approval.
PAST QUARRELS. In past interviews, Annabelle made no secret of her disapproval of Ruffa’s French-Israeli boyfriend Jordan Mouyal.
Ruffa and Jordan have been in a relationship since January 17, 2014.
There was a period in 2015 when Annabelle and Ruffa did not speak to each other for three months because of Ruffa's choice of boyfriend.
In 2016, Annabelle even said in a TV interview that she’s praying for Ruffa to break up with Jordan.
Annabelle was quoted saying, “Kasi bata masyado, e. Wala magagawa bata diyan. Twenty-eight years old.”
Jordan, an IT engineer, and Ruffa have a 13-year age gap.
Ruffa, for her part, said that she has accepted the fact that no boyfriend of hers will ever be good enough for her mom.
In the same interview, Ruffa said, “Wala, e. I can deal with it na for the rest of my life.”
