Betong Sumaya waxed nostalgic about his high school days with Patricia Javier, whose real name is Genesis Canlapan.
On his Instagram account yesterday, February 7, Betong posted a before-and-after photo with Patricia to show how she still looks pretty even after 27 years.
Their throwback photo was taken during the time Betong was Patricia’s escort for their school’s pageant in 1991.
Not only were they classmates in Antipolo Municipal High School, but Betong was also one of Patricia's persistent suitors at the time.
For their 2018 photo, Betong and Patricia also did the same pose and held hands just for fun on the set of GMA-7 afternoon series, Haplos.
Betong’s caption read: “Mula noon at ngayon, di ka p rin nagbago :)

In a March 2012 TV interview, Betong revealed that he really had a huge crush on Patricia during their high school days.
“Sobra talaga akong nagtiyaga talaga kay Genesis talaga na ligawan.
"Kaya lang, ang dami talagang nanliligaw sa kanya sa school, sobrang dami.
"'Tapos ang itsura ko pa noon, talagang liyamado na liyamado talaga!
"Parang feeling ko, wala talagang... lakasan talaga ng loob.
"Kung sagutin man ako ni Genesis noon, baka nasa impluwensiya siya ng kung anuman para masagot niya ako!"
To date, Betong is single while Patricia is married to an American chiropractic doctor, Rob Walcher III.
