The 27-year-old former Ang TV star announced her homecoming this April on her Instagram account last Saturday, February 24.

Serena uploaded a throwback post of her classic fast food commercial, which could very well hint at the main reason behind her comeback.

Serena starred in several movies in the '90s including Haba-baba-doo, puti-puti-poo; 'Tong Tatlong Tatay kong Pakitong-kitong; Tik Tak Toys My Kolokotoys; Bata, bata.. Paano Ka Ginawa?; and Wansapantaym The Movie.

Her last movie was Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To!) with Ai-Ai delas Alas in 2010.

Since then, Serena took a hiatus from her showbiz career and finished her studies.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde in 2011.

In 2014, Serena finished her post-graduate studies in International Business from Hult International Business School in London.

Now based in New York, Serena has been busy travelling the world and participating in charity programs via a non-government organization in the US called Many Hopes Foundation.
