Laura Lehmann has signed up with Regal Entertainment, Inc. and is now gearing up for television and movie projects.
The reigning Miss World Philippines and former UAAP courtside reporter said she will be hosting a TV show.
The show, according to her, is "related to the beauty queen world or something like that so, that’s the one I’m very excited for.”
Laura represented the country in the Miss World pageant in September 2017 in China, but failed to secure a spot in the Top 15.
Prior to her Miss World Philippines stint, the TV host and model joined Binibining Pilipinas in 2014 where she landed first runner-up.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) interviewed Laura last Tuesday, March 6.
Will she be allowed to join Binibining Pilipinas again?
“Yeah, of course, I don’t think anybody limits us to join other pageants.
"We can try any pageant that we want,” she replied.
Will she try her luck again in Binibini?
“Right now, I’m very happy to be with Miss World Philippines.
"I’m just very happy where I am right now, I don’t have any plans of joining...
"I’m just focusing on this year, I’m not really thinking about that,” she stressed.
MAKE FRIENDS, HAVE FUN. The coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2018 is happening in two weeks’ time.
Who are the candidates she is rooting for? The 23-year-old beauty queen gave a safe answer.
“My opinion is that the batch is so competitive.
"This is probably one of the most beautiful batches that I’ve seen.
“I don’t have any bet right now, I think it’s anyone’s ball game.
"It depends on their performance on the pageant night itself, it can go on any direction.”
She added that the candidates should also look beyond the competition.
“I also wish beyond that, that they have a good time.
"Pageants are supposed to be a fun experience, it’s where they meet friends.
“You’re supposed to have fun, learn about yourself, make a sisterhood.
"So I just wish them the best of luck and I hope that they have fun.”
Laura also mentioned that many of the 40 aspiring candidates in Binibining Pilipinas 2018 are her friends.
