Catriona Gray (left) says Sandra Lemonon (right) would've done better had she been given another question at the March 18 coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2018.

Sabi ng bagong Miss Universe Philippines tungkol kay Sandra, “We’re so close, kasi she’s my batchmate from Miss World Philippines 2016 pa.

“But given another question, I’m sure she would have really excelled because she is very intelligent.

“She speaks five languages and it’s so sad that it wasn’t her time.”

From ABS-CBN: - Lemonon was speaking with ABS-CBN News' Mario Dumaual Tuesday about her viral Q&A response in Binibining Pilipinas, when she expressed support for Gray as that night's biggest winner. - - "When I had that question, I said, 'This is not for me.' I really, really think that on that night, Catriona -- she's a really good friend of mine -- she really deserved to win. On that night, even if I gave a good answer, I felt like it was not my time yet. I really felt like something happened for a reason," Lemonon said. - - Asked whether she was aware of the viral photo of her cheering for Gray, Lemonon answered: "Of course I was clapping! I did see that. I remember that. We've been together since before. When that happened, I was just super, super proud of her."

It sounded like bill-bill.

“Saka sana it would have been, ‘What do you feel about the build-build infrastructure program?’

“‘Cause then it would have been, 'Oh infrastructure... build!”

IT DOESN'T DEFINE SOMEONE.

Saad niya, “She was very honest and that’s what I love about her.

“She’s the same in person.

“She’s very straight forward and I appreciate that quality and I have seen on the media, a lot of people are praising that too."

Dagdag pa ni Catriona, “Also, Q&A doesn’t define someone.

"In general, Q&A should not define a beauty queen.

“It’s thirty seconds, and if that thirty seconds proves anything, it’s just spontaneity.

“It doesn’t measure your intelligence, your knowledge, your wit.

“It’s just spontaneity, grace under pressure.

“So for that aspect, I think she performed very well because she was honest, she was still able to present.”

Nang tanungin tungkol sa kalagayan ngayon ni Sandra, sumagot si Catriona ng, “I think there’s a piece of mind that she just didn’t know and she was honest about it.

“I mean, what else can you do in that situation, di ba?

“And I appreciate that more rather than just making something up to sound like you know what you’re talking about.”

Sabi niya, “I think it’s nice.

"It kind of opened up [the] beauty queens' question-and-answer portion [experience] to the general public in a way that some people are saying, 'We don’t even know what that project is.'

"So it’s nice of them to put themselves in our position and they’re, like, 'Wow, ang hirap!'”
