Inamin ni Mariel de Leon na nag-delete na siya ng Twitter account matapos ang matinding pamba-bash sa kanya ng netizens.
“I deleted it na. I think it would be best for me kasi that’s where I go all out talaga.
“I still have my Facebook page and my Instagram and I would still voice out opinions.
"But in a more sensitive and articulate way,” pahayag ng beauty queen sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa contract signing niya sa Regal Entertainment nitong Martes ng gabi, March 27.
Naging kontrobersiyal ang Bb. Pilipinas-International 2017 dahil sa pagiging vocal niya sa kanyang opinyon sa pulitika, showbiz, at iba pang paksa na kinasangkutan ng mga prominenteng tao.
Hindi na ba niya ia-activate ang kanyang Twitter account?
Sagot ni Mariel, “No, I don’t think so.
"Kasi, observing throughout the whole time, Twitter has gotten me into trouble a lot."
Pero balak daw niyang gumawa ng panibagong account.
“Maybe soon I will, kasi I still want to connect with people, like, the whole Twitter community.
"I like that community, and maybe soon I will.”
Sinabi pa ng dalaga na mas magiging maingat siya sa kanyang mga ipu-post kapag napagdesisyunan na niyang gumawa ng panibagong Twitter account.
“I would still be the same me, but then of course, this time, I will think about the words I choose before I speak out.
“Because in the times now, people I guess are sensitive and they think too much about certain words and certain things people say.
“So, maybe, not only for me, but people out there, should be careful on how they say things.”
