Although Dionne Monsanto has appeared in several Kapuso shows, she clarifies that she is currently a freelance artist, "I don't have a regular show yet with either [ABS-CBN] or [GMA]."

“I am freelance.

Aniya, “They do certain deals for me, parang it depends on who gets to book me.”

Gayunman, muling nilinaw ni Dionne, “I don't have a regular show yet with either [ABS-CBN] or [GMA].”

FREELANCE STATUS.

“What I like about being freelance is I get to do whatever projects I want. I really like it,” sabi ni Dionne.

“Last year, I did this Japanese-Filipino film, it off of a manga.

“I stayed in Japan for almost a month to study the role, to learn about Japanese [culture].

“That's what I love about my job, when I have to study for a role, when I have to prepare for a role whether mentally or physically, and I change my look.

“I gained a few pounds because the role asked for it.”

Pero ngayon isa na siyang freelance artist, sabi ni Dionne, “I love the freedom now.

“Ano kasi, I've been acting since 2002. My orientation is mainly mainstream because I started in ABS-CBN Cebu for a teleserye.

“I love TV but I also love whatever I can do now—whether it can be film or TV.”

Saad ni Dionne, “I really wish though that we held more auditions here in the Philippines.

“Kasi there are roles na I want but then I can't audition for it because kasi may set of people na.

“Kaya sobrang trinesure yung Japan experience ko, yung Japanese film, kasi I auditioned for it.”

“I don't mind auditioning,” aniya.

“Although, I have to say, I'm the worst at auditions.

“Kasi when I do a teleserye, alam ko na ang role ko, kilala ko na role ko.

“When you do auditions kasi, doon mo lang malalaman kung sino ka, 'di ba?

But I love the feeling when I audition.”

Sa ngayon, wala raw anumang pinipiling role si Dionne, “If I like the role whether it's mabait or maldita, I will try my best to give it justice.”
