Benjamin Alves feels secure about rumored girlfriend Julie Anne San Jose working with her two new leading men, Gil Cuerva and Kiko Estrada, for her new Kapuso teleserye, My Guitar Princess: "I believe in Julie. I even give her space when she's working. Plus I believe in the ability of Kiko and Gil as leading men for Julie. So you have to give them that opportunity for that love team to work."

“I believe in Julie. I even give her space when she's working.

“There is no, as they would say, a helicopter boyfriend thing or helicopter girlfriend something like that. That’s the worst.

“Plus I believe in the ability of Kiko and Gil as leading men for Julie.

“So you have to give them that opportunity for that love team to work.

“So yeah, I’m excited for them as well,” pahayag pa ni Benjamin sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa story conference ng pagbibidahan niyang teleserye na may titulong Karibal Ko Ang Aking Ina sa GMA Network Center noong nakaraang April 11.

Makakapareha naman ni Benjamin sa Karibal Ko Ang Aking Ina sina Sunshine Cruz at Bea Binene.

NEW TELESERYE. At kahit na magiging busy silang pareho sa teleserye nila, hindi naman daw hadlang iyon sa paminsan-minsan nilang pagde-date.

“I think they are shooting T-Th-S and we’re shooting M-W-F plus she has Sunday PinaSaya.

“All the more that you get excited when you do find time together.

“We have never been madamot sa oras. If it’s work, it’s work.

“So it’s never been a problem before, it won’t be a problem now,” ngiti pa ni Benjamin.

Feeling lucky naman si Benjamin dahil makakatrabaho niya sina Sunshine at Bea for the first time.

“I'm lucky for my character, yun nga e, with Miss Sunshine and Bea, both people that I haven't worked with yet.

“It's always nice to work with somebody new, in that sense.

“Direk Gil [Tejada] will also challenge us for the show.

“We're a cast and a production team who likes challenges,” diin pa ni Benjamin na ang huling teleserye ay ang I Heart Davao noong 2017.

3RD YEAR AS GNEA AMBASSADOR. At the same time, overwhelmed ang Kapuso actor dahil siya ulit ang napiling ambassador ng GMA Network Excellence Award (GNEA).

Ito ang ikatlong taon na kinuhang ambassador si Benjamin ng GNEA.

“I'm looking forward to finding out who are this year's candidates, or what kind of characteristics will I remember from them.

“We are looking for students who excel beyond their standards, beyond good grades, but do something else beyond that.

“That's important, excellence, to excel at something.

“I want to meet the students who excel in the requirements that we have, the great point average, the accomplishments.

“I want to see what makes them go beyond that.

“I'm very excited, I'm very honored, I'm very excited to go to the campuses as well to see mga Kapuso natin na estudyante pa,” lahad niya.

Bago maging aktor si Benjamin, naka-graduate ito bilang summa cum laude sa University of Guam with a degree in English Literature.

Kabilang ang aktor sa uupo bilang panel para mag-deliberate sa GNEA awardees.

“This is 16, 17 years of striving for excellence.

“I think we can give them an afternoon to sit down and give them eight to ten minutes of our time to talk to them, because this is years and years of hard work, sleepless nights, the sacrifices.

“I can only imagine, some of them have financial situations.

“These are all realities I'm aware of for each of our students.

“That's why I'm so passionate about it because may istorya sa likod ng paghihirap nila.

“I'm very much involved in the process. We deliberate right after we meet everybody.

“They take their part of reaching excellence very, very seriously and very, very passionately.

“All the more that we should respect that and take our part very seriously,” pagmamalaki ni Benjamin.
