Dina Bonnevie to young actress that she confronted on the set: "Hindi pa ipinapanganak ang mambabastos sa akin. If you want to continue taping this soap like this, do it yourself."

Pahayag niya, “Iyon na nga ang sinasabi ko, para magtagal kayo sa industriya, number one, you have to love what you do.

“You have to really appreciate that gift, treasure it, keep it, and talagang ano... be professional.

Pagbabalik-tanaw ng 57-year-old actress, “Talagang... I gave her hell.

"Talagang sinabihan ko siya, ‘Who do you think you are? Are you famous? Who are you? What name have you made? Have you carved your name in stone in showbiz? Your call is at 9 o'clock and you come down from your van at 12 o'clock na naka-pajama? Really?’

If you want to continue taping this soap like this, do it yourself.’

“E, yung leading man ko dun, ganun din, ‘Yeah, tell her!

Sikat ba?

“Ngayon, hindi,” marahang sagot niya.

“Sa tingin ko, hindi. Andiyan lang siya... She didn’t really like... make it like... big.

Come on, you know! Let’s not allow her ganyan-ganyan.’ I’m so tired.

“Pagdating na pagdating niya, ang sabi niya sa akin, ‘Where are you going, Tita?’

“Sabi ko, ‘We’re going to leave. What did you think, we were born to wait for you? Excuse me, who do you think you are?’

“Sabi ko, ‘Are you somebody? Excuse me. You haven’t made a mark. Have you proven yourself at least in acting? You can’t even cry.’

DINA AS A MENTOR.

Lahad niya, “For example, si Maja [Salvador] noon, when we did May Bukas Pa [2009], batang- bata pa si Maja noon, e.

"I think, Maja was only 15 or 16, hindi pa siya marunong umiyak.

“'Tapos, I taught her, paano ba iiyak, ganyan-ganyan. Just imagine yourself putting a pair of shoes on.

“And yung pangalan ng shoes na ‘yon, yung character mo.

"So, pag isinuot mo na yung shoes na ‘yon, ano’ng nararamdaman ng character mo at the moment, ganyan-ganyan.

“'Tapos, pag-cut, hubarin mo na uli yung shoes, ganyan-ganyan,"

Kuwento pa ng beteranang aktres, “And now naman, look at her, di ba?

"Sometimes nga, they don’t even give you respect.

“Sabi niya [Ogie], ‘Dapat kasi, nagbibigay-galang sila!’

“But you know, you can’t blame them.

“Like, I mean, our time was ‘80s and ‘90s, di ba? Yung iba, ipinanganak sila, late ano...”

DINA'S FOUR Gs. Napabuntung-hininga nang malalim si Dina, “Pero I think, after our first presscon for Blood Sisters, medyo nagseryoso yung mga bata.

“E, sinabi ko yun sa presscon na you have to have the four Gs, di ba?

“First, you were given a Gift. You have to be thankful for the gift of acting.

“You have to be able to Give.

Kasi, walang give and take.

“And then, with the gift, you have to be Grateful for that.

"And by being grateful, di ba, you become responsible. You become professional.

“And then you have to give... and the last G was... your gift should be used to glorify God.

(tumango)

“E, minsan, di ba, magte-take na, 'tapos biglang... magbabasa pa ng script.

"‘Ah, okey, sige... ngayon ka pa lang magme-memorize.’ Okey. Ganun ako.

"E, di siyempre, parang... ah?! Next time, pag on the floor na, go! Alam na kaagad ang dialogue.

“Dapat, pagdating sa set, rehearsal, drop script.

"Hindi yung pagdating doon, ‘Direk, Direk, ano nga yung line? Nya-nya-nya...’

“Ay, naku! Sarap basagan ng plato. Puyat na nga tayo, gaganyan ka pa? Hellooooo!”

“Siguro, first few tapings lang... After our presscon, nagulat kami ni Pie, 'Bah, parang nag-ano yung mga bata,' you know.

“Parang pag alam nilang next na sila, nag-uumayos na sila. Nagri-read ng script.

“Samantalang dati-dati, nagre-rehearse, hawak-hawak ang phone, nagti-text, nagba-browse, ganyan-ganyan.

“Gusto kong sabihin, ‘Can you please drop your phone? Mamaya na ‘yan.’

"Pero hindi na namin kinailangang sabihin. Parang the presscon already did that.

“And parang bigla kaming... respetado... ng buong barangay! Ha! Ha! Ha! After that.”
