Jed Madela on staying away from negativity: "It's a very confusing and difficult world now 'tapos dadagdagan mo pa, di ba? One thing that I learned was to simplify, simplify life talaga, mag-e-enjoy ka talaga nang buo."

“I'm doing a bit better. Not fully recovered, but better.”

I kinda felt insignificant.

Nakangiting sabi ng bagong YFSF mentor, “I'm better now. I just needed time to rest.

“I needed time to assess things and I needed to be surrounded by the right people and the right projects.

“Siguro it was a moment in my life lang na siguro naging toxic lahat.

“I guess I was surrounded by the wrong people, reading a lot of negative things online.

“I'm not the type who can release all the sama ng loob sa pagsasalita. Siguro naipon lang lahat.”

Sa panahong sinusubukan niyang labanan ang depression, sabi ni Jed, “Yun lang talaga ang na-discover ko, you just have to really stop and assess your life.

“If you are with the right people and you do what you love doing...

"Kasi, kapag ginagawa mo ang isang bagay just for the heck of money or it's just work at hindi ka na happy, nakakadagdag siya sa depression o sa anxiety.”

PART OF A FAMILY.

“For a while, I felt insignificant, di ba? Parang I felt na I'm not part of the circle anymore.

Diin pa ni Jed, “You know, it's a big thing for us artists to feel that we're really part of a family.

“I feel na I'm really part of a family dito because of the love and the care that they are giving me now.

“Of course, I understand na pana-panahon lang talaga.

"I guess, during those times talaga, ano lang ako, down na down, I was depressed.

So, I'm happy now.”

SOCIAL MEDIA DETOX.

“It is open to the public and everybody has their own opinion, may mga sarili silang issue sa buhay na pati ako nabubuhay.

“Some of them, they just don't like me for whatever reason they have.

“Dati kasi, it mattered to me, so I kept reading.

“Pero ngayon, since yun ngang nangyari sa akin, it kinda affected me, I avoid reading comments.

“I keep my social media positive, lahat ng mga pinu-post ko are all happy things.

“It's a very confusing and difficult world now, 'tapos dadagdagan mo pa, di ba?
