Rufa Mae Quinto's mother passes away: "Ang sakit mawalan ng ina."

Rufa Mae Quinto mourns the death of her mom Carol who passed away today, Saturday, May 26. However, the comedienne-actress didn't give further details about the cause of her mom's death. The Home Sweetie Home actress simply posted on her Instagram a photo of herself together with her mom and one-year-old daughter Alexandria.


Today, May 26, Rufa Mae Quinto announced via Instagram that her mother Carol had peacefully passed away.

She wrote in the caption, "Ma, I love you lagi ko tatandaan yung sinabi mo na wag ka matakot, maging matapang ka para sa anak mo.

"Ang sakit mawalan ng ina #mommycarol #rip Rest in peace. We love you."

Rufa Mae felt sad knowing that her mom won't be around when she turns 40 on May 28.

She added, "Ang picture na ito kuha 2 weeks ago kasi 3 generations kami dito.

"Ito na pala ang last picture natin pero forever [broken hearts] we will miss you. Birthday ko pa naman."

While she didn't mention the cause of her mother's death, Rufa Mae took comfort knowing that her mother died peacefully.

"Atleast pumikit ka lang at natulog. Nakita mo ang apo mo. Naka attend ka ng first birthday ni @alexandriamagallanes at nakita mo ako kinasal.

"Lumagay sya tahimik. Kaya ikaw din , tahimik na."


Rufa Mae's husband, Trevor Magallanes, left a comment on the actress's post, saying, "Rest in peace mommy Carol. I'm glad that I was able to get to know you. You were a beautiful soul inside and out. I'll see you again someday. Love you - your son Trevor."

Among the celebrities who expressed their condolences to Rufa Mae include Mariel Rodriguez, Boy II Quizon, Sherilyn Reyes-Tan, Patricia Javier and Sandy Andolong.
