Kris Aquino reveals political aspect of why her romance with QC Mayor Herbert Bautista has come to its end. "For someone who might seek higher office and lead the whole nation... I don't want to be pabigat."

“Sinabi ko, 'Happy Father’s Day.'

Pag-amin niya, “We did!

“And I thought I was okay with that, but I was not okay with his reaction.

“So, may issue ako about that. There’s a part of me that feels, he wasn’t proud of me.”

FRIENDS OR ENEMIES?

Ayon kay Kris, “We’re not enemies and he knows, I will never be his enemy.

"He also knows na I will forever be grateful kasi, when nobody was there and when everybody thought I will be nothing, he went out of his way to make sure na makatayo ako.

“'Tapos, kinailangan na tanungin ko: 'Ginawa mo ba yun because you cared or ginawa mo ba yun dahil feeling mo may atraso ka sa akin?'

"'Tapos sinabi niya na, 'All of the above.'

“So, I think ngayon, nasabi ko ‘to, I’m already in an okay place.”

“So sabi ko, for me to not feel that, I have to not talk to him.

“Kasi, why will I continue to entertain that when it took so long? It took a two-year journey to get here.

“And kung sa personal may ganun pa akong nararamdaman—di ba nga, sinabi ko na there are just some people na kailangan mong mahalin from a distance?

"And hindi na ko naniniwala sa somewhere down the road."

CLOSURE.

"May closing scene for the character and sinabi kasi sa akin na kailangan daw yun.

So, bakit kailangan?'

“And this is the first time—oh my god, I’m really getting old—a director’s calling me Ate.

At saka niya sinagot ang aming tanong ng, “Yung sagot ko sa inyo, yes, I think you do need it. But you can’t force it.”

“Magagalit siya sa akin for saying too much!” natawang sabi ni Kris.

“So I’m trying my best of not saying too much.”

Pero kuwento ni Kris, "When he was in Europe with his children and the mother of his children, I think, in order to reassure me, he’s texting, nangangamusta and all, and keeping in touch.

“And I felt, hindi naman kailangan.

“Time niyo ito, e.

“Siyempre, nangyari pa ang lahat ng political na issues and I said, 'This should not be your battle, and stay away from me.'

An association with me now is not beneficial to you.'”

Patuloy pa ni Kris, “I’m just being super honest with all of you ha.

"This is coming from someone who knows political reality. And that’s when I realized, ay, I’m really grown up.

“And at this point, huwag na siyang ma-identify muna with me. Kasi, the last name I carry is divisive.”

Ayon kay Kris, “And for someone who might seek higher office and lead the whole nation, di ba?

“I don’t want to be pabigat.”

Sacrificial love?

“Yeah, I think bongga yun. I think, that shows maturity.”

Pero nasasaktan siya?

“No, I can look at a bigger picture. That’s the change in me.

“Kasi kinailangan kong pagdaanan everything I went through and everything that I have to build from zero in order for me to look at things from a wider perspective.”
