Jennylyn Mercado, 31, couldn’t ask for more from boyfriend Dennis Trillo, 37, whom she considers not just the best travel buddy but someone who knows her inside out.
Speaking to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Jennylyn said, “Yung relationship kasi, talagang tinatrabaho.
"Hindi siya yung nandiyan lang, 'tapos pag happy, happy lang. Pag sad, hindi na, ayoko na.
“Dapat kahit anong pagdaanan niyo, nandiyan lang, e, hindi kayo gi-give up.
"Pareho niyong tinatrabaho yung relationship para mag-grow."
They’ve gone through a lot of good and bad times that didn’t even make it to their social media accounts, she said.
“Malaking bagay sa amin yung privacy. Yung kini-keep namin yung gusto namin i-keep para sa relationship namin.
“Yung pagiging mature, yung pag-e-age taun-taon, ang dami naming natututunan.
"Ang dami naming nae-experience na hindi na namin uulitin.
“Ang dami naming gustong maabot nang magkasama."
PEP.ph had an exclusive interview with Jennylyn after her contract signing as celebrity endorser of Tough Mama home appliances, held at Annabel’s Restaurant in Quezon City last Saturday, June 23.
Asked if she and Dennis are planning to settle down anytime soon, Jennylyn replied, “Sa ngayon, hindi na muna siguro.
“Para sa akin, as long as mahal pa ako ng tao, at nandiyan pa rin yung supporters mo na hindi ka pa rin iniiwan, hindi pa muna siguro. Okey pa.”
But she assured that Dennis doesn’t feel like she’s making him wait long for them to take the plunge.
She added, smiling, “Wala namang ganun. Sa ngayon, ini-enjoy lang namin yung company ng isa’t isa.”
