Donny Pangilinan on viral video showing his alleged jealousy towards Darren Espanto and Kisses Delavin's closeness during ASAP Chillout: "Hindi nga yun ang nangyari... At saka nagulat ako kasi bawal mag-video sa studio."

Donny Pangilinan clarified there is no truth to the rumors he got jealous of singer Darren Espanto getting chummy with his love-team partner Kisses Delavin.

Addressing the issue, Donny said, “Hindi nga yun ang nangyari. Ang galing nila gumawa ng ganun.”

This had to do with the behind-the-scenes video taken last October 14, during ASAP Chillout Session, the online show for ABS-CBN’s musical-variety show.

Based on the video, which has gone viral, Donny was caught staring at Darren and Kisses, who seemed engrossed in their conversation.

Donnie was standing four people away from Darren and Kisses, when he suddenly walked towards the pair and then stood behind them.

The video that made the rounds online had a title alluding to Donny feeling jealous and all of a sudden becoming territorial towards Kisses, with whom he is paired in the ABS-CBN daytime series, Playhouse.

During the blogcon for Playhouse last Friday, October 19, Donny said that he and Darren had a prior agreement about how they were going to take turns in hosting ASAP Chillout.

“Nag-uusap kami ni Darren. Kasi sa Chillout, parang kung may guest, ‘O, ikaw na iyan. Uy, Sue [Ramirez], ikaw naman. Nagte-take turns kami.

“So nung time na yun, sabi namin ni Darren, ‘Uy, hayaan mo sila tumodo, kasi mamaya na tayo.’ Yun sinabi ko."

After his conversation with Darren, Donny recalled heading to the other side of the stage while he was on standby.

He said he also wanted to check if he’ll be needed for some ad-lib spiels from where he was standing, a few feet away from Darren and Kisses.

Explaining why he was staring at Darren and Kisses, Donny added, “E, wala akong matanong. So tiningnan ko si Darren kung magtatanong din siya ng tanong.”

Donny, for his part, admitted that he was surprised that some netizens made a big deal of that viral video.

“At saka nagulat ako kasi bawal mag-video sa studio. Ang galing niyo.

“Pero nakakatawa lang na gumawa sila nun. 'Tapos may edit pa.

“Masasabi ko lang, galingan niyo pa.”

When asked about the real score between him and Kisses, Donny said that they've become good friends since they were first paired as a love team in the movie Walwal back in June.

Prior to that, Donnie also became Kisses's escort during her debut last year.

“We’re very happy with our friendship," said Donny.

“Blessed kami sa nangyayari ngayon. Wala namang awkwardness.”

Kisses, who was also present during the blogcon, noted that she’s comfortable with Donny on- and offcam.

“Sanay na po kami sa isa’t isa kasi palagi kaming magkasama.”

While she is aware that some people would love to see her and Donnie as a real-life couple, Kisses said she doesn’t think about having a boyfriend for now.

“Advance din po siguro si Kisses mag-isip.”

Then she cited the love advice she learned from her older brother in Playhouse, played by Zanjoe Marudo.

“Sabi nga ni Kuya Marlon, dapat advance ka mag-isip para maiwasan yung mga bagay-bagay.

“Dapat ina-assume mo yung puwedeng mangyari para prepared ka.”

Explaining further what Kisses wanted to say, Donnie interjected, “Advance mag-isip tsaka kailangan alam mo yung priorities mo muna.

“Yung priority muna ni Kisses, katulad ng sinabi niya, she's in a relationship with her career.”
