Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Richard Gomez, Ai-Ai delas Alas, other celebs pay tribute to Rico J. Puno

Celebrities took to social media to express their grief over the passing of legendary singer and Total Entertainer, Rico J. Puno.

Rico J. Puno died of cardiac arrest at St. Luke's Hospital, Global City, Taguig, last Tuesday, October 30. He was 65.

Nababalot ng kalungkutan ang Philippine showbiz ngayon dahil sa biglaang pagpanaw ni Rico J. Puno, ang tinaguriang Total Entertainer sa industriya.

Si Rico ay pumanaw nitong Martes ng madaling-araw, October 30, sa St. Luke’s Medical Center, Global City, Taguig City dahil sa cardiac arrest.

Siya ay 65 years old.

Bukod sa pagiging singer, umaarte rin si Rico sa mga sitcom at teleserye.

Naging public servant din si Rico, na nanilbihang councilor ng first district ng Makati City mula 1998 hanggang 2006.

Ilan sa mga kasamahan niya sa showbiz ay ginamit ang social media upang iparamdam sa publiko kung gaano nila kamahal ang OPM legend.

My friend, you will be missed. You are my favorite performer of all time ever since I was a young boy. You are one entertainer who can hold your crowd laughing for an hour. Puno.. tama naman dahil hindi lang basta kumakanta, talagang performer... magkasama lang tayo 2 weeks ago SA show.. tulad ko makulit At sensya na mejo “naughty” ... pero yan ang style nya na nakasanayan na NG lahat.. yan ang hinahanap NG tao... komedyante na At magaling na singer.. konsehal... hurado.. host.. at napaka swerte ko kc ilang beses na kami nagkasama SA mga concerts at shows.. nanalo pa nga kami NG award matagal na bilang “best performance (collaboration) in a concert” .. na hindi ko makakalimutan kc natawa kami dahil walang script at kulitan lang ang concert na yon pero nanalo.. maharot sa entablado At kaibigan At masaya kasama. My last meet with singer RICO J PUNO was in June this year. We were both in stage for the IMG Grand annual conference at the MOA. I can't boast of a very personal relationship with him because of that, maybe just like you or your parents and me, I grew up with Rico J on TV. A star. An icon. There is just no one like him. When I started in TV, I've done several stories on Rico J. Through the years his personal life would take mostly over. But to the end, performance was his identity.
