Grace Poe leads SWS survey after second presidential debate

Poe's score increased by two points after second presidential debate.

<p>Presidential aspirant and senator Grace Poe ranked number one in Bilang Pilipino-SWS's mobile survey, conducted two days after the Cebu presidential debate.</p>

Senator Grace Poe landed the number one spot in Bilang Pilipino-Social Weather Station’s mobile survey.

Conducted two days after the Cebu presidential debate, Poe gained 35 percent share of votes.

Taking the second spot was Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte with 26 percent share of votes.

Vice President Jejomar Binay and Mar Roxas are statistically tied in third place with 18 percent and 17 percent share of votes, respectively.

Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, who didn’t make it to the second debate, got two percent share of votes.

One percent of the total respondents were undecided.

Bilang Pilipino-SWS’s nationwide presidential survey last March 22 has 807 respondents and ±3 margin of error.

According to SWS’s official statement, there were slight changes in the candidates’ scores in light of their performance during the Cebu presidential debate.

A nationwide survey conducted last March 18 showed the following share of votes: Poe (33 percent), Duterte (24 percent), Binay (20 percent), Roxas (18 percent) and Defensor-Santiago (3 percent).

The remaining two percent of respondents were undecided.  

The March 18 survey had a total of 1,200 respondents.
