Ang American-Canadian host ay 80 years old.
Inanunsiyo ang pagpanaw ni Trebek sa Twitter account ng Jeopardy!.
Nakasaad dito: "Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends. Thank you, Alex."
HIndi binanggit kung ano ang ikinamatay ni Trebek, ngunit noong March 2019 ay inanunsiyo ng veteran TV host na na-diagnose siya ng stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Pahayag niya noon: "Now, normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I'm going to fight this.
"And I'm going to keep working and with the love and support of my family and friends—and with the help of your prayers also— I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease."
Si Trebek ay naging host ng Jeopardy! mula pa noong 1984.
Naulila ni Trebek ang kanyang asawang si Jean at ang kanilang tatlong anak.
