Pumanaw ang Globe at Emmy-award winning actress na si Kristie Alley dahil sa cancer noong Lunes, December 5, 2022.
Siya ay 71.
Kinumpirma ng mga anak ni Kirstie na sina True at Lillie Parker ang malungkot na balita sa pamamagitan ng isang pahayag sa Instagram account ng aktres na namayapa.
Pahayag nila: “To all our friends, far and wide around the world… We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered.
“She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.
“We are grateful to the incredible team of doctors and nurses at the Moffitt Cancer Center for their care.
“Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did.
“We thank you for your love and prayers and ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time.”
Nag-umpisa ang acting career ni Kirstie (January 12, 1951-December 5, 2022) noong 1976.
Pero sumikat siya nang husto dahil kay Rebecca Howe, ang karakter na ginampanan niya sa Cheers, ang sitcom ng NBC at nagbigay sa kanya ng best actress award mula sa Emmy Awards at Golden Globe noong 1991.
Ang 1989 film na Look Who’s Talking, na pinagbidahan nila ni John Travolta, ay naging surprise hit kaya nagkaroon ito ng mga sequel noong 1990 at 1993.
Agad na nagpahatid ng pakikiramay si John nang malaman nito ang pamamaalam ng kanyang leading lady sa pelikula.
