Naglabas ng opisyal na pahayag ang HODU&U Entertainment, ang kinabibilangang management company ng South Korean actor na si Lee Sun Gyun, 48, bilang tugon sa umano'y alegasyong paggamit ng ilegal na droga ng aktor.
Noong October 19, 2023, iniulat ng South Korean portal na Allkpop na kasalukuyang iniimbestigan ng Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit si top actor "L" at pito pa niyang kasamahan dahil sa paggamit nila ng marijuana.
Walang nabanggit na pangalan ang kapulisan, puwera sa hint nito na si top actor "L" ay nasa edad 40s.
Saad ng pulisya (base sa English translation ng Soompi. com), “While investigating drug-related activities primarily within entertainment establishments in Gangnam, we obtained information that a celebrity is involved in drug use.
"We are currently conducting an internal investigation involving eight individuals including L, a male actor in his 40s.”
Dahil dito, nagsimula ang haka-haka ng netizens na si Lee Sun Gyun ang tinutukoy na top actor "L".
Bilang tugon sa alegasyong ito, agad na naglabas ng pahayag ang HODU&U Entertainment nitong Biyernes, October 20.
Ayon sa kanila, kasalukuyan nilang bine-verify kung may katotohanan ang alegasyong ibinabato kay Lee Sun Gyun.
Makikipagtulungan din daw sila sa kapulisan para mas mapabilis ang imbestigasyon.
Dagdag pa rito, inanunsiyo rin ng HODU&U Entertainment na kasalukuyan nang nakatatanggap ng blackmail at threats si Lee Sun Gyun sa isang indibidwal na konektado raw sa insidente.
Dahil dito, nanawagan sila sa publiko na iwasan ang pagpapakalat ng maling balita't impormasyon para sa kaligtasan ng aktor.

"Our company is currently in the process of verifying the specific facts related to the allegations raised against Lee Sun Gyun. We are committed to cooperating fully with any investigations conducted by relevant authorities with utmost sincerity and honesty in the future.
"Additionally, Lee Sun Gyun has filed a complaint with the law enforcement agency against individual A, who is connected to the incident, for continuous blackmail and threats.
"Future updates on this matter will be communicated through our legal representative. We ask for your understanding.
"Furthermore, we intend to take strong measures against any malicious or false postings that may spread false information.
"Once again, we extend our heartfelt apologies for causing concern."
