Christina Assi, Lebanese, 29, “will carry the Olympic Flame on Sunday, July 21, in Vincennes, France,” ayon sa website ng AFP, “to pay tribute to those who have fallen” habang nasa line of duty.

CHRISTINA SURVIVES TANK SHELL explosion
Sabi ni Christina, "Carrying the Olympic Flame is an emotional experience, particularly after surviving a targeted attack while I was on assignment.
"My story is just one among many others in a year that has claimed the lives of over a hundred journalists.”
"By bearing this torch, we honour the sacrifice of those who have fallen and draw attention to the urgent need to protect those who continue to report despite the mental and physical toll.”

HOW CHRISTINE COPES WITH THE TRAGEDY
Sabi niya, “As traumatic as it is, you try to process it as much as you can. And I haven’t processed it fully, what happened.
“I’m still trying to do that. But, yeah, definitely you turn your anger and you keep pushing. And you use it for something beneficial.
“There is no point of just giving up on yourself. There’s no choice. You have to push.”
“You have to go through… the only way through is in…”
The only way is to go through what’s happening and to feel the pain, to feel the anger, and to experience everything, to cry. We cry a lot. We have lots of crying sessions.”
“But, yeah, and hope that eventually you will. You will win this battle. You will win this fight and you will be walking again.”
