BTS Suga faces police investigation for drunk driving case

Humarap na sa mga awtoridad ang BTS member na si Suga, para makipagtulungan sa imbestigasyon ng kinasasangkutan niyang drunk driving case.

Ayon sa ulat ng ilang South Korean news outlet, nitong Biyernes, August 23, 2024, personal na nagtungo si Suga sa Seoul Yongsan Police Station para harapin ang questioning na isasagawa ng pulisya.

Ngunit bago pa man makapasok sa police station, nakorner na ng Korean media ang K-pop idol at nahingan ng reaksiyon sa kinasasangkutan niyang kontrobersiya.

Dito nagkaroon ng pagkakataon si Suga na humingi ng paumanhin sa publiko, lalung-lalo na sa BTS fans—ang Army, na na-disapoint daw sa kanyang sinapit.

Kalakip nito ang pangako niyang gagawin niya ang lahat ng kanyang makakaya para makiisa sa imbestigasyon.

Ani Suga (ayon sa English translation ng Allkpop), "I am very sorry. I sincerely regret disappointing my fans and the public.

"I will cooperate with the investigation. Once again, I apologize."

BTS SUGA'S DRUNK DRIVING ISSUE

Noong August 7, pinag-usapan online ang tungkol sa pagkakahuli kay Suga ng Seoul Yongsan Police matapos nitong lumabag sa Road Traffic Act dahil sa pagmamaneho niya ng electric scooter nang lasing.

Dahil sa insidente, mabilis naglabas ng pahayag ang Big Hit Music, ang talent management ni Suga, para ipaliwanag ang nangyari.

Ayon sa ahensiya, Martes nang gabi, August 6, nahulog si Suga sa kanyang "electric kickboard" habang nagpa-park ito sa harap ng bahay niya sa Seoul, South Korea.

Sumakto raw na may dumaang pulis at napansin nitong nakainom ang K-pop idol.

Nang lapitan, nakumpirma raw agad ng nasabing pulis na nakainom nga si Suga kaya isinama ito sa presinto para sumailalim sa breathalyzer test.

Ayon pa sa Big Hit, bukod sa multa, kinumpiska rin ang driver's license ni Suga.

Gayunpaman, agad din naman daw pinauwi si Suga matapos nitong mahimasmasan.

BTS SUGA RELEASES PERSONAL STATEMENT

Matapos maglabas ng pahayag ang Big Hit Music ay nag-post din si Suga ng sarili niyang statement sa Weverse app.

Dito, humingi siya ng tawad sa kanyang fans na nag-alala sa nagawa niya.

Inamin din ni Suga ang pagkakamali kaya't anuman ang parusang ipapataw sa kanya ay bukal daw sa puso niya itong tatanggapin.

Kalakip ang pangako na mag-iingat na sa susunod at sisiguraduhin niyang hindi na ito mangyayari pang muli.

Mababasa sa kanyang pahayag: "Hello, I'm Suga.

"I feel very heavy and sorry to come to you with disappointment.

"After drinking at the dinner table last night, I got home on an electric kickboard.

"He violated the road traffic laws without realizing that he could not use an electric kickboard when he was drunk due to the comfortable idea of being close to him.

"In the process of setting up an electric kickboard at the front door of the house, I fell alone, and there was a police officer around me, so I took a breath test and found that my license was revoked and a fine was imposed.

"There were no people or facilities damaged in this process, but I would like to bow down and apologize to everyone because it is my inexcusable responsibility.

"I apologize to everyone who has been hurt by my careless and wrong behavior, and I will be more careful with my actions so that this does not happen in the future."

Samantala, noong August 11, lumabas na ang resulta ng isinagawang breathalyzer test kay Suga.

Dito lumabas na nakainom nga ang BTS member nang mahuli siya ng pulisya dahil nakita sa blood alcohol level niyang 0.227 percent.

Ayon sa Road Traffic Act ng South Korea, ang sinumang mahuli na nagmamanehong may blood alcohol concentration na 0.08 percent pataas ay maaaring makulong ng isa hanggang dalawang taon.
