Nakatakdang lumabas si Lea Salonga sa Season 4 ng Fox series na The Cleaning Lady.
Kaabang-abang ang special guesting niya rito dahil, ayon sa exclusive interview niya with American news website HuffPost, siya ay magiging kontrabida.
Gagampanan ni Lea ang karakter ni Rose, isang Southeast Asian woman na nakapangasawa ng mayaman at mahilig sa charity.
Ayon pa sa Broadway star, “I don't get to play the villain role very often.
"I tend to be associated with women that have a heart of gold or women who are heroic or women who are much softer and without any sort of cruel intentions.
"To play somebody that is not likable is a lot of fun.”
LEA SALONGA ON THE CLEANING LADY
Sa simula, hindi raw siya pamilyar sa The Cleaning Lady, pero noong nag-research siya tungkol dito, nagkaroon siya ng interes dahil karamihan sa cast members ay binubuo ng Southeast Asian actors.

"There's underworld elements, there's undocumented people, there's all these stories that are so human and communities that are vulnerable.
"There's definitely interest in these kinds of stories, which is fantastic.

Aniya, “It means the world that there is a universe in which these kinds of stories are able to attract interest and wide viewership where we are centering the experiences of not just Southeast Asian people, but it's Southeast Asian women.
"And now for me to come in as a woman from Southeast Asia, as a woman from the Philippines, and kind of getting into this mix, it's just one episode, but it's like, it's nice to be able to center women's stories and the stories of women of color.
"And it's incredibly empowering to be a part of something like this."

Ang The Cleaning Lady ay likha ni Miranda Kwok, isang Canadian-American screenwriter, actress, at television producer, base sa 2017 Argentine television series na La Chica que Limpi.
Nag-premiere ito sa Fox network noong January 2022, at nagsimulang umere ang fourth season nito noong March 25, 2025.
Pinagbibidahan ito ni Élodie Yung as Thony De La Rosa, isang Cambodian-Filipino surgeon na nasa Las Vegas on an expired visa. Kasama niya ang maysakit na anak na si Luca.
Nagtatrabaho siya bilang "cleaner" at doctor sa isang criminal organization.
Ang bidang si Elodie, 44, ay nakilala bilang si Elektra Natchios sa Marvel Television series na Daredevil (2016) at sa mini-series na The Defenders (2017).
Ang iba pang Filipino actors na lumabas sa The Cleaning Lady ay sina Martha Millan, JB Tadena, Ruby Ibarra, at Princess Punzalan.
LEA SALONGA'S 2025 PROJECTS
Kasalukuyang ginagawa ni Lea ang Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends sa Broadway with Bernadette Peters.
Nag-premiere ito noong March 25 at magra-run hanggang June 15, sa Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
This coming August, gagawin naman ni Lea ang Philippine staging ng Into the Woods, kung saan gaganap siya bilang The Witch.
Makakasama niya rito ang kanyang anak na si Nic Chien, who will play the role of Jack in the musical; Eugene Domingo as Jack’s mother; Arielle Jacobs as Cinderella; Nyoy Volante as the Baker; Mikkie Bradshaw-Volante as the Baker’s Wife; Joaquin Pedro Valdes as Prince Charming/Wolf.
Kasama rin sa cast sina Mark Bautista, Carla Guevara-Laforteza, Joreen Bautista, Teetin Villanueva, at Jamie Wilson.
