THE 200-YEAR-OLD LETTERS

“This is sort of like text messages or Snapchat that they’re sending in the middle of the class that they shouldn’t be. 'Do you want to meet me down by the swings?' Or, 'Should we take a walk?' These sorts of things,” paliwanag ni Dr. Libby Bischof, ang university historian.

“It is really about the social life of students,” ani Dr. Bischof.

STUDENTS BEFORE

“The kids hid them. They were writing things that were maybe not meant to be seen by just anybody. So they might have stuck them underneath the floor boards here and a crack there,” anang historian sa Inside Edition report.

Ani Dr. Bischof, “We see the past, I think very often, as people who are really different from us.

“But I think it’s stories like these that really reveal they’re not. Like, kids are kids whether they’re 1820 kids or 2024 kids.

“And these notes really remind us of that in a very charming way.”
