The 2025 MAMA Awards unfolded in Hong Kong with a powerful blend of celebration and solemn remembrance, as global K-pop artists received top honors amid the recent tragedy of a deadly apartment tower fire in the city.
Held at Kai Tak Stadium on November 28 and 29, 2025, the ceremony featured heartfelt gestures from artists and organizers, who paid tribute to the victims while continuing to honor the year’s musical achievements.
Just days before the event, a devastating fire at a residential complex claimed more than 100 lives, prompting an outpouring of support from the K-pop community. Donations, moments of silence, and scaled-down festivities reflected the industry’s solidarity with those affected, casting a somber but unifying tone over the star-studded awards night.

2025 MAMA DAESANG WINNERS
G-Dragon cemented his status as a global icon by winning Artist of the Year.
Stray Kids, who debuted in 2018, finally earned their first-ever MAMA Daesang with Album of the Year for Karma, which is their seventh consecutive album to top the Billboard 200 chart.
BLACKPINK’s Rosé scored Song of the Year for her duet with Bruno Mars, "APT."
ENHYPEN claimed Fans’ Choice of the Year, underscoring their massive global fandom.

HONORING VICTIMS OF HONG KONG FIRE TRAGEDY
Recognizing the Hong Kong fire disaster, the MAMA Awards organizers and artists chose empathy and respect.
Red carpets were canceled, performances scaled down, and messages of support were delivered during the ceremony.
Artists and companies also contributed to relief efforts.
Stray Kids pledged donations to support affected families, while other major groups and labels rallied to help victims rebuild.
Several high-profile performers graced the stage—including G-Dragon, Stray Kids, aespa, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, ZEROBASEONE, IVE, i-dle, BoyNextDoor, RIIZE, AllDay Project, CORTIS, Babymonster, KickFlip—with some of the most captivating musical moments of the night.
Though some acts opted out (like Saja Boys collab performance) or adjusted performances out of respect, the event balanced celebration with sensitivity.
The 2025 MAMA Awards was hosted by Park Bo Gum on Day One and Kim Hye Soo on Day 2.
