Magtatapos na ang full-group activities ng K-pop girl group na UNIS, na naging espesyal para sa maraming Filipino K-pop fans dahil dalawa sa walong miyembro nito ay mga Pinay.
Kinumpirma ng F&F Entertainment noong Martes, Setyembre 22, 2026, na magtatapos ang exclusive management contract ng UNIS sa Setyembre 26, 2026.
Ayon sa talent management agency, matapos ang serye ng pag-uusap tungkol sa contract period at sa magiging direksiyon ng kanilang career, napagdesisyunan nilang tapusin ang activities ng UNIS bilang isang buong grupo alinsunod sa orihinal na itinakdang haba ng kanilang kontrata.
“UNIS will conclude their official activities as a full group following the end of their exclusive contract,” saad sa inilabas na statement ng F&F Entertainment.
TWO FILIPINO MEMBERS IN UNIS
Naging malaking bahagi ng journey ng UNIS para sa mga Pinoy ang dalawang miyembrong mula sa Pilipinas—sina Elisia Parmisano at Gehlee Dangca.
Kabilang sina Gehlee at Elisia sa walong napili mula sa SBS girl group survival show na Universe Ticket, kung saan nabuo ang UNIS.
Ang iba pang miyembro ng grupo ay sina Hyeonju, Nana, Kotoko, Yunha, Yoona, at Seowon.
Nagtapos ang programa noong Enero 2024.
Bahagi ng premyo ng winning contestants ang pagde-debut bilang UNIS sa ilalim ng dalawang taon at anim na buwang kontrata.
Opisyal na nag-debut ang grupo noong Marso 27, 2024, sa pamamagitan ng kanilang first mini album na We UNIS.
Kabilang sa mga pinasikat nilang kanta ay "Superwoman," "Curious," at "Swicy."
Sa loob ng mahigit dalawang taon, nakilala ang UNIS hindi lang sa South Korea kundi maging sa ibang bansa, kabilang ang Pilipinas, kung saan malaki ang naging suporta ng Filipino fans sa kanilang dalawang Pinay members.
