“This project makes Tokyo 2020 the first in the history of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to involve citizens in the production of medals, and to manufacture the medals using recycled metals."

Pahayag ng komite, “We hope that our project to recycle small consumer electronics and our efforts to contribute to an environmentally friendly, sustainable society will become a legacy of the Tokyo 2020 Games.”

Ayon pa sa komite, “Every single medal to be awarded to athletes during the Tokyo 2020 Games is made from recycled metals."

THE OLYMPIC LOGO DESIGN

Ang disenyo ay pagpapakita na “to achieve glory, athletes have to strive for victory on a daily basis.”

Saad pa sa site, “Their design is intended to symbolise diversity and represent a world where people who compete in sports and work hard are honoured."
