VIRAL: Foreigner recreates 1993 photo with ethnic kids in Boracay

Yup, the foreigner once again met the Ati kids he had a photo with 27 years ago.

Viral ang throwback photo na ipinost ng foreigner na si Patrick O’Cock na nagbakasyon sa Boracay noong 1993.

Kasama niya ang kanyang anak na si Josh.

Kita sa throwback photo ang petsang September 26, 1993.

Kita rin ang blond-haired boy na si Josh kasama ng mga katutubong Ati sa Bulabog Beach sa isla.

Sa baba ng photo ay ang 2020 version, kung saan makikita si Josh kasama ang mga Ati kids na ngayon ay malalaki na.

Kuha ito sa Ati Village sa Boracay.

Ibinahagi ni Patrick ang mga larawan sa Facebook community na Boracay Retrospective.

Sa 1993 photo, makikitang siyam silang lahat na bata, pero sa 2020 ay anim na lamang.

Sa isang comment, sinabi ni Patrick na buhay pa ang ibang bata, pero hindi na sila nakasali sa 2020 photo.

Namangha si Patrick sa pag-viral ng kanyang post.

Aniya (published as is): “We're not quite sure how this happened but I shared this pic on a fb group called Boracay Retrospective, showing our son Josh with some of the Ati kids in 1993 with a retake in 2020 and it went viral!

“In just 2 days its has received over 20k reactions with 17.5k !!! That's a whole lot of love plus over 7k shares. We are quite amazed.”

Ni-repost din ni Josh ang post na ito.

Caption niya: “Boracay is a very special place to me that I can’t wait to return to! My fiancé Georgia and I have a calling and a mission of love to help rebuild the school for the Ati children.

“This will be happening in the next few years!”

Si Josh ay isa nang business consultant sa Malta, base sa kanyang Facebook account.

Makikita naman sa Facebook page ni Patrick na dahil sa pagmamahal niya sa Boracay, binuo niya ang foundation na Mission of Love Malta.

Ang foundation ay may misyong matulungan ang mahihirap na mga katutubong batang Ati sa Boracay sa larangan ng edukasyon.
