Actor-dancer John Prats joins the cast of the Coco Martin-starrer FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
In the March 30 teaser of the said TV show, John was introduced as the newest cast member of the primetime series.
He plays SPO2 Jerome Girano, a policeman who will work with the characters of Coco and Maja Salvador.
In his Instagram post (@iamjohnprats) today, March 30, John expressed his excitement to work with Coco.
In his caption, he referred to Coco as his brother, “Maraming salamat sa pag welcome sakin ng @dreamscapeph and @iammajasalvador sa #fpjsangprobinsyano. Sa wakas magkakatrabaho na tayo brother:) masaya to.”
This serves as John’s reunion with Maja after 13 years of not working together in any teleserye.
It can be remembered that Maja’s first love team partner was John in the 2003 series It Might Be You starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. At that time, Maja was still starting out in showbiz.
Incidentally, Maja was also able to work with John's wife Isabel Oli in the last episodes of her 2015 primetime series Bridges of Love, where Isabel was a cast member.
Aside from FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, John is regularly seen in the Sunday afternoon comedy-variety show Banana Sundae.
