Ms. Right meets Mr. Wrong in GMA-7's new primetime series Juan Happy Love Story.
Heart Evangelista and Dennis Trillo reunite for the Kapuso network's romantic comedy series which aired its pilot episode last May 16.
Dennis plays a womanizer named Juan while Heart portrays a hopeless romantic character named Happy.
The start of the series didn't start "happy," as suugested by the title. The series opened with Happy and Juan having a fight because of the latter's alleged infidelity. The scene was followed by a flashback showing how they met each other.
Juan and Happy met at a common friend's wedding. Happy saw in him most of the signs she was looking for her true love. However, a series of unfortunate events followed--including Happy catching Juan doing the deed with a girl inside a car. Later, Happy had a change of heart after Juan defended her from riding-in-tandem criminals.
The two eventually went on a date to know more about each other. Happy confessed her feelings towards Juan right away but the playboy doesn't feel the same way yet.

MEGA MANILA. Heart and Dennis' new series had a strong debut on the primetime block on Monday. The show enjoyed a 5-point lead for its pilot episode which garnered 17.1% in Mega Manila against the 12% rating of rival ABS-CBN show The Story of Us starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. This is according to the data from AGB Nielsen.
Although the show experience a two-point decline in its ratings, Juan Happy Love Story maintained is lead from The Story of Us. The show scored 17.2% for Tuesday (May 17) episode, 16.2% for its Wednesday (May 18) episode, and 15.8% for its Thursday (May 19) episode.
Meanwhile, KimXi drama trails behind with 11.1% for Tuesday (May 17) episode, 10.6% for its Wednesday (May 18) episode, and 9.6% for its Thursday (May 19) episode.
NATIONWIDE. Juan Happy Love Story may have strong viewership ratings in Mega Manila but The Story of Us maintained its lead on nationwide TV ratings based on data gathered by Kantar/TNS Media.
The Story of Us garnered 17.7% last Monday, May 16, and has a 4-point lead against Juan Happy Love Story which scored 13.4%.
