Barbie Forteza caught the attention of viewers and netizens since she did her impersonation of Kris Aquino on GMA-7.
The Kapuso actress was tapped to impersonate Kris for the Kapuso show Sunday PinaSaya.
During the May 15 episode of SPS, viewers were able to watch a segment called “Star Buzz,” which spoofs the defunct showbiz programs The Buzz and Startalk.
When transforming into Kris, Barbie used the screen name Kissy Anino.
During the launch of the YES! 100 Most Beautiful Stars 2016 held yesterday, July 11, Barbie disclosed how she prepared in order to impersonate Kris Aquino.
"Oo grabe yun. As in nanunuod talaga ako ng videos ni Kris kasi konting mali siyempre bash kaagad pati Kris Aquino yun, e.
"Dapat tama yung mga sinasabi ko pati dapat alam ko rin yung mga guest ko at saka mahaba yung lines kaya kailangan memorized."
How does Barbie feel about those who say that she is OA [overacting] at times?
"Madaming nagsasabi na ang OA ko daw. Wala akong magawa! Kasi ganun siya dapat, e. Okay lang, maraming cool at masaya kasi maraming nag-a-acknowledge and maraming nakakapansin ng efforts ko. Na-appreciate ko yun."
Barbie shared a clip of her impersonating Kris for a dramatic scene. In her Instagram account, the 18-year-old actress is seen crying. Her voice broke as she recalled how she was supposed to meet Jonjon but she was stood up.
"I was there at 5:59 pero wala siya dun. Hinanap ko siya, sabi ko, 'Jonjon, Nasaan si Jonjon?' Nakakahiya, nag-skandalo ako sa mall."
After the scene, Ai-Ai delas Alas praised her and said, "Friendship, in fairness, ang galing mo. Ngayon ka lang gumaling ha."
Barbie, who was still in character as Kissy, responded by saying, "Alam mo naman, muntik na akong mag Best Actress."
