Actress Snooky Serna is considering moves to annul her five-month-old marriage to Blue Jean Junkies lead singer Niño Mendoza.
In an interview with the GMA-7 news program 24 Oras, Snooky said that while her marriage to Ricardo Cepeda had been annulled, her ties to her former husband before the Catholic Church had not been broken. Because of this, she said she would be committing adultery if she continued her relationship with Niño.
“Let’s not be plastic about it. I am committing adultery… I‘m trying to make things right. We’ve been talking to priests about it talaga,” Snooky told 24 Oras.
Snooky and Niño were married in civil rites last May, four months after the actress’ civil marriage to Ricardo was annulled.
“Maybe what I will have to do eventually is to have our marriage civilly annulled,” Snooky adds in her October 10 24 Oras interview. “Malaking dagok sa akin because it’s the second failure, kung baga, on my part.”
Snooky expressed her gratitude to Niño’s family, whom she stayed with after her operation for ectopic pregnancy.
