Dennis Trillo had a rare chance to meet Song Joong Ki, the lead actor of Descendants of the Sun.
The Filipino actor and the Korean superstar were both honored at the 2016 Seoul International Drama Awards held earlier today, September 8.
In the 11th edition of the SDA, Dennis brought honor to the Philippines when he earned the Asian Star Prize in the annual award show for excellence in television drama production.
Aside from Dennis, two other celebrities received the Asian Male Star Prize. These are Anthony Wong from Hong Kong and Jasper Liu (Liu Yi Hao) from Taiwan.

The awarding ceremony of the 11th SDA was held at the KBS Hall, Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea. 
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki received the Outstanding Korean Actor award for his role as Captain Yoo Si Jin in the military-themed melodrama Descendants of the Sun.
The Korean series which is currently being screened in GMA-7 changed the name of his character to Captain Lucas Yoo.
In his acceptance speech, the Korean actor told the crowd:
"I am so thankful for the team of Descendants of the Sun.
"All the staff members, I am so thankful. And all our fans. And to my parents, I love you."
After the ceremony, Dennis had the chance to take a selfie with Song Joong Ki, who is affectionately called Big Boss by his fans.
The Kapuso actor provided the caption: "What a night."
