Remember when Celine A Scene became viral on Facebook?
Netizens took iconic scenes from different films—such as Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and even Indiana Jones—and added Celine Dion's song "My Heart Will Go On" just for a laugh.
Now, it's safe to say we have the local counterpart of Celine Dion! Say hello to Gary Valenciano.
Pinoy netizens have once again shown their creativity through a series of "If this movie or TV show was made in the Philippines" videos uploaded in different social media sites.
Everything seems to be more dramatic every time we hear Gary V.'s vocals playing while watching a confrontation scene either on film or TV.
The song often used is the Gary V. version of Sugarfree's "Wag Ka Nang Umiyak" which is currently being used in the ABS-CBN primetime drama FPJ's Ang Probinsyano starring Coco Martin.
To be fair, Gary V. has been one of ABS-CBN's go to artists when it comes to OSTs of TV shows and movies.
Here are some of the best we've seen on the net so far:
1. This train scene from Spiderman 2 (2004) would've been more dramatic!
2. You'll probably cry a bucket more tears while watching Train To Busan (2016).
3. This confrontation scene in How To Get Away with Murder between Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) would've gotten you on the edge of your seats with Gary V.'s vocals playing in the background.
4. This particular death scene The Flash will make you burst in tears.
5. Game of Thrones would never be the same. (P.S. Contains spoilers!)
6. Gary V.'s vocals is even suited for the localized version of Descendants of the Sun.
7. The Avengers are definitely feeling it!
8. Even the testosterone-filled movie Expendables 3 will get a touch of emotion with Gary V on it.
9. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader's confrontation scene in Star Wars: Episode V would have been more epic.
10. Oddly enough, this song also works well with Stranger Things. What do you think?
Bonus:
These aren't Gary V songs but definitely deserve a spot on this list.
How I Met your Mother would probably be a segment in Eat Bulaga.
Kyla could bring kilig vibes while you watch a localized version of Stranger Things.
