Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil are paired anew for an upcoming romantic-comedy movie to be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
The story conference for this Star Cinema movie took place earlier today, September 20.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other entertainment reporters after their storycon, the LizQuen tandem only gave limited information about their upcoming film.
Enrique reasoned out, "Hindi pa siya finalized, marami pa daw kasing dapat ayusin so we don’t want to say anything tapos iba na naman yung lalabas.
"As soon as may final na talaga, which I doubt magiging final unless we start shooting, and so much will constantly change once we start shooting kasi."
Both ABS-CBN stars then differentiated this movie from projects they did in the past.
Quen continued, "Yung characters namin is very young, very modern.
"Yung mga key aspects of the movie is very now. It played around the trends now like social media, highlighted yung social media.
"Very millennial friendly. It is something that's very fresh and it's nice to see on a movie and a lot of people, makaka-relate."
Liza also pointed out, "It's totally different because in the movie, magkakilala na kami unlike the others na kaka-meet lang namin. Yun pa lang ang alam namin."
In this movie, Liza and Quen are reunited with Cathy Garcia-Molina, who directed their successful TV series Forevermore and the pilot week of Dolce Amore.
Quen said he is excited to be reunited with the box-office rom-com director while Liza is looking forward to seeing how Direk Cathy works in a movie set.
She said, "First time naming mag-movie sa kanya.
"We don’t know how she works in movies kasi yung parehong teleserye namin, for airing, so we're kind of used to that na.
"Pero kapag movie kasi, it's totally different and malaki ang pressure ng movie because people pay to watch it so we don’t know how she handles it."
KISSING SCENE. The upcoming movie serves as LizQuen's fifth project after doing the teleseryes Forevermore and Dolce Amore, and the movies Just The Way You Are and Everyday, I Love You.
For the finale of their respective teleseryes, Liza and Enrique only had scenes with nose-to-nose and kiss-on-the-cheek.
For this reason, LizQuen fans are excited to know if their idols will be doing a kissing scene in this upcoming movie.
PEP then asked Liza and Enrique if their first onscreen kiss will finally happen in this movie.
Liza answered, "I don't want to disappoint them… but I don’t think so yet.
"Kasi I just turned eighteen and it all happens in the right time," she said with a smile.
Liza then turned to Enrique and asked, "Pwede pa naman mag-antay yun, di ba?"
Enrique smiled back and answered with a wink, as a sign of saying yes.
Liza, Quen, and Direk Cathy said that they will start shooting very soon and hopefully, the movie will be released this 2016.
