Dingdong Dantes topbills the Kapuso Network's Alyas Robin Hood while Jericho Rosales and Arci Munoz are the lead stars of the Kapamilya teleserye Magpahanggang Wakas.
ALYAS ROBIN HOOD. The pilot episode of Alyas Robin Hood opened with a strike against Mayor Chacha (Ces Quesada) who refused to give to her constituents the sacks of rice donated by the Japanese people. She was planning to give these sacks of rice to buyers who paid her a big amount of money.
A man with a hood then hijacked the truck containing the sacks of rice and brought it to the townsfolk who joined the strike.
The hooded man killed those guarding the truck by using his bow and arrow.
The mayor later on claimed that it was her who gave the donations to the public, and not a certain Alyas Robin Hood whom she described as a thief. However, the people did not believe the mayor and threw mud at her.
Dingdong Dantes was then shown onscreen, introducing himself as Alyas Robin Hood and narrating his back story.
Viewers were then given a glimpse of Alyas Robin Hood’s background starting in the year 2000.
The vigilante is named Jose Carlo, also known as Pepe.
The young Pepe (played by child actor Miguel Erasga) is a huge fan of comics superhero Robin Hood, which he keeps on reading during his free time.
At an early age, he and his family experienced injustice, which prompts him to take the law into his own hands.
MAGPAHANGGANG WAKAS. The pilot episode of Magpahanggang Wakas opened with aerial shots of the island of Caramoan.
Viewers get to meet Ronwaldo del Mar (Jericho Rosales), an engineering intern working onboard a ship. This is part of the fleet of Supreme Pacific Incorporated, one of the biggest canning manufacturers in the Philippines.
The Coast Guard of China approached their ship and declared, "This is Chinese territory!"
Ronwaldo responds by shouting, "Amin ang Scarborough!"
The seamen onboard get bombarded by water hoses. As a result, a crewmate falls overboard and Ronwaldo jumps into the ocean to save him.
A topless Ronwaldo is seen sporting the name Aryann on his chest in the present time.
Flashback scenes then showed that he was living on an island with his beloved in 2006.
Ronwaldo and Aryann declare their love for each other as they frolic on the sand. The couple hug and kiss each other while submerged in the clear waters of Caramoan. The lovers are also seen kissing each other while under a rock formation.
Waldo plans to buy a boat for his father Kulas (played by Lito Pimentel) and eventually marry his sweetheart Aryann Castillo.
However, a series of unfortunate events befall the couple.
Dodong (Justin Cuyugan), the lover of Aryann's aunt, took the money that the young lady was saving up for her tuition fee.
Aryann's aunt Rosing (Rita Avila) and Aryann get into an argument about money when the elder lady suddenly becomes sick and is rushed to the hospital.
To help with the costs, Waldo gave Aryann his own savings that he meant to use for the boat of his father.
That night, Dodong sees Aryann sleeping outside and proceeds to touch her.
Aryann begs her boyfriend Waldo to take her away and they plan to elope. However, Dodong bumps into her and he chases after her.

Dingdong's new teleserye got a TV rating of 21.3%.
On the other hand, the Jericho-Arci starrer registered a TV rating of 17.2%.
KANTAR RATINGS. In the nationwide ratings game, Alyas Robin Hood got a lower rating compared to its rival, according to data supplier Kantar Media.
Alyas Robin Hood got a national TV rating of 19.3%.
Magpahanggang Wakas prevailed with 25.1%.
