ABS-CBN celebrities showed support for the acting comeback of the Kapamilya Network's current Chief Content Officer Charo Santos-Concio.
Bea Alonzo, Pokwang, Kaye Abad, and Iza Calzado were among the stars who attended the premiere night of Ang Babaeng Humayo held last night, September 27, at the UP Town Center.
The movie also stars John Lloyd Cruz who wasn't able to attend the premiere because he is currently out of the country.
This Lav Diaz film, which runs for three hours and 46 minutes, is currently being screened in Philippine cinemas.
Known internationally as The Woman Who Left, this black-and-white film tells the story of Horacia (Charo Santos Concio), a woman seeking revenge after being imprisoned for 30 years for a crime she didn’t commit.
Here are some of the celebrities who attended the screening:
The love team of McCoy De Leon and Elisse Joson, which was first formed in Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7, attended the premiere.

Star Cinema's prime actress Bea Alonzo chatted with Ma'am Charo before the screening.

Ang Babaeng Humayo made Philippine cinema history by winning the prestigious Golden Lion for Best Film award at the 73rd Venice Film Festival. It also had its North American premiere at the 41st Toronto International Film Festival.
In a previous interview, John Lloyd Cruz said that Bea was his peg for his role as a crossdresser. The actress said in response, "Tignan natin."

Iza Calzado (left), who is Bea's co-star in the teleserye The Second Wife, also graced the premiere.

In her guesting on the Kapamilya morning show Magandang Buhay, Charo recalled how she prepared for her role:
"I went to the correctional [institution] for women. I interviewed a few inmates there so that I know what it feels like for a person to be imprisoned and how it feels like when your whole life stops. I also disguised myself here as a tomboy so I also studied how to do that."

Other Star Magic talents such as Pokwang, boyfriend Lee O'Brien, Nikki Valdez, and Kaye Abad were also at the screening.

Film Development Council of the Philippines chairperson Liza Dino, Presidential Communications Operations Office secretary Martin Andanar, and Jun Sabayton were present at the premiere screening of Ang Babaeng Humayo.
