No trouble in the marriage between Sheryl Cruz and husband Norman Bustos kahit geographically separated sila.
Wala raw problema sa marriage nila ni Norman, sabi ni Sheryl sa pictorial-cum-presscon ng Shake, Rattle and Roll 8 (SRR) sa Valencia compound ni Mother Lily Monteverde ng Regal Entertainment noong November 12. In fact, full support nga raw si Norman sa kanyang pagbabalik sa pelikula dahil he understands her and her job as an actress. Isa pa, napapanood naman daw ni Norman si Sheryl sa Bakekang kahit nasa US siya dahil sa GMA-7 Pinoy TV.
One and a half years nang nasa Pilipinas si Sheryl with her daughter. Una siyang bumalik noong 2003, after the death of her father, former matinee idol Ricky Belmonte.
At that time, napasama siya sa Mulawin series ng GMA-7 and headlined the second season of Now and Forever na "Ganti." Nakagawa rin siya ng isang pelikula, ang Mano Po 3 ng Regal Films with Vilma Santos and Christopher de Leon.
Sheryl returned to the US to be with her policeman husband ngunit kinailangan niya muling bumalik nang namatay naman ang kanyang tiyuhin, "The King of Philippine Movies" Fernando Poe Jr., last December 2004. Since then, she has been living here with her daughter at nagkasunod-sunod na rin ang trabaho ni Sheryl.
Returning to Now and Forever season five "Tinig," Sheryl takes on her first kontrabida role sa GMA-7 primetime soap Bakekang. Sheryl plays Valeria sa naturang soap at kasama rin niya rito si Manilyn Reynes, ang kanyang ka-batchmate sa dating palabas na That's Entertainment.
Nagbabalik movie rin si Sheryl for another Regal Entertainment entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival-Philippines 2006, ang Shake Rattle and Roll 8. Sheryl stars in the second episode entitled Yaya, directed by Topel Lee, kung saan si Iza Calzado naman ang title role. This is Sheryl's second SRR since she was also part of SRR 4.
