Four years into the relationship, Maricar de Mesa and basketball player Don Allado will be saying their vows in a Catholic ceremony on December 1.
Supporting their union are 14 principal sponsors, some from show business and commerce—including Manny Pangilinan, ABS-CBN executive Cory Vidanes, Maricel Soriano, Rudy Fernandez, Senator Jinggoy Estrada, and Senator Lito Lapid.
Meanwhile, Almira Alvarez, Tanya Garcia, Angelu de Leon, and Maui Taylor will serve as secondary sponsors in the wedding, which is expected to be attended by some 400 people.
The bride and groom will both be wearing creations by Avel Bacudio.
"Actually he wanted [the wedding] next year," reveals the sexy actress about the sudden change of plan in an interview with ABS-CBN's The Buzz last Sunday. "But then his brother told him—his older brother told him na they're getting married in January. So sukob. So siya, sabi niya, ‘It's either this year or 2008.' Sabi niya [sa akin], ‘I think that's too long.'"
"Yeah," seconds Talk ‘N Text's center forward. "I can't wait any longer. I can't wait anymore. Gotta have her already."
