A four-month pregnant Julia Clarete joined Yul Servo in meeting the fans of Sa Ilalim ng Cogon last December 17 at Robinsons Galleria Movieworld.
This indie movie was named as the Best Feature Film in the Rojo Sangre Buenos Aires Film Festival last year. Yul was visibly delighted to be part of this award-winning film. "Siyempre natutuwa ako na kasali ako sa pelikulang ito na binigyan ng parangal ng awards-sa ibang bansa pa di ba? Maganda rin yung trabaho ko dito. Talagang pinagbutihan ko dito," he says.
The onscreen chemistry between Yul (the ex-soldier Sam) and Julia (the nymphet Katia) was apparent throughout the movie. This stems from the fact that the two have worked together previously in Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka [ABS-CBN's defunct drama series]. Julia explains, "Si Yul kasi matagal ko nang nakatrabaho ‘yan, [noon pa] Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka sa ABS-CBN. Kay Yul wala kang kaproble-problema...He is a respected actor. Tsaka ‘yung pagkatao n'ya talaga hindi siya mahirap kausap, so hindi ka mahihirapang kausapin siya for work."
When asked if Julia felt uncomfortable during her love scene with Yul, she responds, "Siguro now I [would] feel awkward because I'm here but during that time all I was thinking about is work naman e." The young actress-TV host married her non-showbiz boyfriend Stephen Ryan Uy earlier this year. She is now four months pregnant with their child.
