James Taylor has cancelled his Manila concert as his form of "political stand."
The American singer was supposed to hold his Philippine concert on February 25, 2017 at the Mall Of Asia Arena. However, he announced through his Twitter account that he had concerns about the drug war being waged in the Philippines. This crackdown is being ledby President Rodrigo Duterte.
The multiple Grammy Award-winning singer finds it unacceptable to learn about the "summary executions of suspected offenders without trial or judicial process."
James has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame.
His songs include “Fire and Rain,” “Country Road,” “Something in the Way She Moves,”, “Shower the People,” “Your Smiling Face,” “Carolina In My Mind,” and “Sweet Baby James.”

The concert promoter asks the public to await further announcements about the refunds to be made regarding the cancelled event.
