Kim Chiu makes a comeback on the big screen this 2017.
She is reunited with director Chito Roño for the upcoming Star Cinema movie Ghost Bride.
Kim and other cast members attended the story conference of the horror film earlier today, February 2.
The ABS-CBN actress and Direk Chito previously worked together in the films The Healing (2012) and Etiquette for Mistresses (2015).
For this movie, however, Kim won't be seen with her two perennial onscreen partners Xian Lim and Gerald Anderson.
Instead, she gets a new leading man: Matteo Guidicelli.
It may be recalled that, in 2011, Kim and Matteo were supposed to be paired in the defunct TV series My Binondo Girl.
With Xian Lim and Jolo Revilla, Kim and Matteo were originally supposed to form a "love square."
However, viewers favored Kim's chemistry with Xian.
For this reason, then ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer and President Charo Santos-Concio decided to push the KimXi tandem.
On his Instagram account, Matteo said he was thankful for the opportunity to be paired with Kim in a movie.
He wrote in the caption: "Thank you @starcinema for this awesome opportunity. #soon"
Kim gave clues about Ghost Bride through her Instagram post.
She wrote, "proud to represent my roots Filipino-Chinese in the #TheGhostBride from @starcinema #chinesetradition"
Alice Dixson was also present at the story conference earlier today. This marks the first time that Alice will be part of a Star Cinema movie.
The seasoned actress was previously seen in the GMA-7 teleserye Marimar (2015) and was part of the 2015 movies Felix Manalo and #Ewankosau saranghaeyo.
On Kim's Twitter account, she described her co-star Alice as her idol.
