Meryll Soriano is five weeks pregnant.
The young actress married actor Bernard "BJ" Palanca in civil rites on September 2006. Meryll's parents were not present at the wedding. Her mother, Bec-bec Soriano, was reportedly against the couples' whirlwind romance and chose not to attend. Her father, Willie Revillame, was hosting Wowowee in the United States.
Eventually, all was resolved. Meryll's parents gave their blessing to the couple's union.
Now, Meryll and BJ have yet another reason to be thankful. The Buzz reports that Meryll's home pregnancy test resulted positive— twice. The Buzz, which spoke to Meryll, also reported that the actress is already experiencing the symptoms associated with pregnancy: "Inaantok, masungit, at gustong-gusto kumain ng kamias."
Meryll and Bernard are set to go to a doctor on Monday for further tests. The couple hopes that their first child will be a healthy baby boy.
