ABS-CBN Film Restoration Project revives the 1991 classic romantic-drama movie, Hihintayin Kita sa Langit, featuring reel-turned-real life lovers Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta.
The digitally remastered Hihintayin Kita sa Langit will be shown at Ayala Cinemas in Glorietta Mall in Makati City and Trinoma in Quezon City until March 7.
This classic film is a tragic love story between Carmina (Dawn), a wealthy daughter of a hacienda owner, and Gabriel (Richard), a farm hand in the hacienda.
It won major awards such as the 1992 Gawad Urian Best Director (Carlos Siguion-Reyna), Best Cinematography (Romeo Vitug), and 1992 FAMAS Best Supporting Actor (Eric Quizon).

- Hihintayin Kita sa Langit was the first movie of former onscreen partners Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez. In fact, according to Richard, this was the movie that allowed them to know each other and eventually led to a romantic relationship.
Richard quipped, "Yung mga nagsisigawan diyan, anak na 'yan ng mga fans namin!
"Yung mga sumigaw, 'yan na ang mga nanay at tatay nila ngayon.
"Thank you so much for being here. This movie was shot in 1991 pero pag napanood niyo, sasabihin niyo, 'Batang-bata ha!'
"Thank you so much for being here and we want you to fall in love all over again." -

Direk Carlos revealed the movies that will be remastered soon: "Up next is Ikaw Pa Lang ang Minahal." This 1992 movie starred Richard, Dawn, Maricel Soriano, Charito Solis, and Eddie Gutierrez.
"There's another Richard-Dawn movie: Saan Ka Man Naroroon [1993]." -

Eric Quizon played Alan, the rich haciendero who becomes the antagonist in the movie. He becomes attracted to the character played by Dawn, causing a rift between the sweethearts.

- Veteran actress Vangie Labalan protrayed Yaya Adora, who took care of Dawn Zulueta's character named Carmina.

Guila Alvarez arrived with her husband Ping Bautista. Guila represented her brother Gio Alvarez, who played the role of young Milo (Michael de Mesa).
Richard Gomez brought his wife Lucy Torres-Gomez and daughter Julia to the premiere of the remastered Hihintayin Kita sa Langit. In a previous interview, Lucy mentioned she became a Richard-Dawn fan because of this movie.
