The French band Phoenix is expected to hold its Manila concert this August 15.
Festivalgoers at Wanderland Music and Arts Festival 2017 on Saturday, March 4, were the first to hear the good news after Karpos Multimedia confirmed the indie-pop quartet's return to the Philippine concert scene.
The 2009 Grammy award-winning band—composed of Thomas Mars, Deck d'Arcy, Laurent Brancowitz, and Christian Mazzalai—first visited the Philippines in January 2014. They held a sold-out solo concert back then at the World Trade Center.

This 2017, the band is set to rock the stage at a much bigger venue: the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The band officially announced their global tour last March 1 and initially released four concert dates in the United States and Europe.
Phoenix is best known for the hits "1901," "Lisztomania," "Entertainment," "Trying To Be Cool," "Run Run Run," and "If I Ever Feel Better." Their last album, Bankrupt, was released in 2013.
